About Wemute
Wemute is an independent utility made for one everyday job: turning a file into the format you need, without handing it to a stranger's server.
How it works
Images are decoded and re-encoded with your browser's own graphics engine; HEIC uses libheif compiled to WebAssembly; video and audio use FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Everything runs in your tab.
Principles
Sensible defaults, batches first, no accounts, no watermarks, and ads kept well away from the tools.
