Questions
About PNG to WebP
Will my transparent background survive?
Yes. WebP supports full alpha transparency, so cut-outs and logos keep their transparent areas.
Is WebP lossless like PNG?
WebP can be either. Wemute uses lossy WebP for the biggest savings; at the High setting the difference is very hard to see.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Drop a whole folder's worth of images, set one output for the whole batch, and convert them in one go. Several results download together as a single ZIP.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Wemute converts files inside your browser tab with your device's own processor. The file contents and names never reach our servers, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
