About Compress to 50 KB

Will the image be exactly 50 KB?

It will be at or below 50 KB, usually within a few kilobytes of the limit, because Wemute keeps the highest quality that still fits.

Will the dimensions change?

Only when quality alone can't get under the limit — for example a 12-megapixel photo to 50 KB. Then the image is scaled down step by step, keeping its aspect ratio.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Wemute converts files inside your browser tab with your device's own processor. The file contents and names never reach our servers, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
